Mike's nature center, June edition

Turtles. And turtles laying eggs in our yard (not pictured).

Scooping for tadpoles

No, we didn't need those disposable red cups for anything, kids.
They did end up putting a snail in the fish tank and that little sucker cleaned it right up. Hasn't looked better in months.

Cousin Audrey's first recital!

Back in May and before little sister's arrival!

Math

Catch up time.
It's always like pulling teeth to get the kids to do their math homework. But Roman ended up with this amazing progress (and really high achievement) at the end of 2nd grade. Zoe hit the goal too.

Me and Uncle Dave.
Biking was an important element of childhood mobility...

And now Zoe can ride!
We took a ride to the local Dairy Queen. One thing I learned: test out braking ability before riding in a single file line. Just sayin'.

Kids got to visit work with Mom

...and got a warped view of a what a typical day looks like.

Call in the calvary.

SPPD's mounted unit was in the parking lot.

Water!

Fire lab.

"Quiet" room.

Zoe picked up the phone at my desk and thought the dial tone was HILARIOUS. She had no idea what it was.

Ice cream an a magic show to round out the day.
