Books

So we were reading another book illustrated by Bob Staake (I am so fond of the illustrations that I became a follower on Facebook, and the guy is pretty funny).
Mary had a little Lamp.
About a girl who had a lamp she brought everywhere with her. We got to the part where Mary brings it to school and there's an image of the teacher tripping over the chord. Before I have  a chance to read it Zoe says "It's not good to play with cords. If you do you can turn into a skeleton."

Indeed.

I love their take on the world.

And I have as much fun at library storytime as they do.

Is there a little guy in your rice?

Yes, there WAS  a little guy in your rice and it made you laugh.
Rice and yogurt....what a dinner.

Winter Carnival Parade

Ro & Zo wanted to bring their teddy bears and show them the town.

We found ourselves a spot and had some hot chocolate while we waited. Good thing I brought 4 cups with lids. In a matter of minutes we lost 2 of the lids "Mommy! It's blowing away!"

Horses! And the start of the necklace collection.

Hail the Vulc! You got marked. We'd talked about the Vulcans on the way in. Well I told them just about everything I know.

So you weren't afraid.

Magic wand and a unicycle club.

Weeeeee!

Dress up play time

I think this was the day you guys had a wedding and got married.
Had to pull out the dress and tux (sans tie) from your Aunt Shannon and Uncle Ryan's wedding. Barely fits.

Winter 2013

Bundle up kiddos.

Time to go outside.
OUTSIDE?!

Yeppers, on frozen Medicine Lake via access through French Regional Park. The same beach you swam at last summer. That feels like forever ago.

A rare day when your dad was off and an organized preschool-type activity was organized.
Let's kicksled!

Ok then.

Your dad took some video too. I watched it and at the time it felt like we were really sailing, but the video proves it was more like molasses in January. Oh well. I'm SO out of shape. Something's gotta give. Gotta get motivated. At any rate, you guys had fun on the sled - there's a sit out front for you to relax and enjoy the ride.

Or practice pushing each other.

Once again amazed at the opportunities available to us.
