Tettegouche to Two Harbors

A camping we will go. A chipmunk we will see.

A cooler we will drag.
Earning his keep.

A walk with a park naturalist we will take.
Look! The park naturalist (intern) is a pointer like Dad.

We learned about trees.
Some of us remembered what we learned. Some of us haven't.

Antlers and horns.
Another naturalist, this one with an awesome hat.
On the road to completing activities to be a junior park naturalist.

Skipping rocks at the mouth of the Baptism River,

Always...

...a favorite pastime.

And a visit to Split Rock Lighthouse, including a walk up the spiral staircase.

3rd stamp on our MN Historical sites passport!

This boy was happy to see a model made out of Legos.

And Zoe enjoyed making a little bonnet.

We all enjoyed the wildflowers.

Zo knew this one - she read a book!
Indian paintbrush

On the way home we stopped for a bit.

When I was a kid we used to stay right next to the area where there is now a tunnel.
The old road is now part of the extensive bike path.

And the place we used to stay turned into expensive condos.
Boo.

It's a really nice spot.

And Zoe was gracious enough to take some photos.

Ok. Camera back to Dad.

Love this spot.

Mike pointing.

We're just going to call this a daisy, plain and simple.

But so pretty, and a subject for Zoe's junior naturalist booklet.

It took some major league encouragement, but we got you two out the pier in Two Harbors.

It's SO windy!

I'm SO cold.
You survived!
