That's a big, fat pumpkin

In Stillwater.
This year.

Giant pumpkins.
Zoe had to borrow my shades for the photo and I only got one without Roman shading his eyes with his hand because he was busy with the popcorn!

Gondola!

Jumping in leaves at Grandma's

I think neither were interested in doing so in our yard after I complained about the snakes.

Snakes!

Yuck!

That'll keep Grandma out of the yard too.

Awesome find....a path near our house.

huggy buggy.

This may not be the time or place, but one of our twins does know how to independently tie shoe laced shoes.

One of them does not ("I forgot")
God Bless you Shawn for teaching them. I got to the point where I crossed the laces and realized I couldn't slow down the process enough to explain it.
Well I could have tried, I suppose.
The one who remembers: "Shawn teached me where to put the bunny ear"

Cousin Audrey is 1!

She took her time and sampled the cake. Well, the frosting.

And got some presents

Enjoyed some music with Dad (Uncle Andy)...

And later, we had the opportunity to enjoy a bonfire out back.
Roman and Zoe were mostly interested in the Octoberfest themed party going on next door by this point- the hammerschlagen and a light up frisbee were too much of a draw for a 6 year old. Before it got too dark they spent some time watching the activities from Aunt Laura and Uncle Andy's play structure.
and then a few weeks later...

We got to have Audrey over at our house over night while Andy and Laura went to a wedding.
It was fun.

Uncle Mike made some fun airplane noises, which got a smile.

This is one sweet girl! So mellow!

Audrey had fun watching Roman and Zoe, and Roman and Zoe had a lot of fun playing with Audrey. Zoe just reminded me that Audrey was so, so, kind of happy that Roman kept falling of the foot thing. Translation: Roman pretended to fall down of the ottoman, which made Audrey laugh. Over and over again.

Such a nice cuddler!
It was really nice to have her around.
We'll have to do it again!

Our New library (or libraries)

Star Wars Reads day at the local library... Dad was too busy to attend (next year!), but I thought it would be worth checking out.

It was. The Lego table got someone's attention, also Yoda and Chewbacca origami, a scavenger hunt...

Wait. Star Wars?
Well, there is a princess involved.

And cookies. Decorate your own cookie to look like a planet from the movie (Dagobah*? Tatooine**?) or other sphere (Death Star?).
Death Star.

Although Zoe recently recounted that she chose the Death Star but opted to turn into a smiley face instead (confirmed if you look very closely at the photo above).

Once a week we go to dance and 10 steps away from where we drop Zoe of for dance is another public library. A nice little one.

With a bench seat in the kids area for reading.

It is pretty awesome.

* I had to look this up to expand my list
**I had to look this up to make sure I spelled it right.
