It's still June, right?

Congratulations Graduates!

Earle Brown Elementary pre-k scholar!

Lucky for us Roman and Zoe had different graduation days. Roman's teacher Ms Richter was due to have her baby at the end of the year and wanted to squeeze in a party before she left.
We got to hear some songs, eat some snacks and watch a slideshow.

Zoe's graduation was the last week of school

Inside the hall  was some class artwork and some Butterfly facts.
- They have a long tongue that they use to drink nectar from flowers  (Zoe!)
- Butterflies have 4 wings
- Butterflies have 6 legs
- They can eat
- They drink nectar
- The caterpillar eats and turns into a chrysalis and turns into a butterfly.
-  They can fly
-  Butterflies can have a tongue
- Butterflies ca fly for a really long time
- Butterflies can fly when they are sleeping
- They get nectar from flowers.

Zoe took the opportunity to dress up.
Onward to bigger and better things....

Green Line!

We made it to the opening day festivities, although we fizzled out before we even left downtown Minneapolis.

Despite the cheeriness on their faces.
Sometimes family fun time doesn't go as planned.
Rain can sometimes do that to you.

Inaugural T-Ball Season

Oddly enough, both Roman and Zoe wanted to give it a try.

Someone got a pink glove.

Someone else got to guard third base.
Guard might be a strong word.

There was a party at 2nd base.
Run the bases? What?

Zoe was chattering away. Here she is with "Blink."  He's in Zoe's pre-k class.
That is what she swore was his name until we found out at Halloween that's it's really Blake.
Blink. Blake. Close enough (and when most names are new to you, what's the difference really?)

Roman's turn to chat.
I guess they do that in the big leagues too.

And wait.

And wait.

Finally! Time to bat.

Pink bat.
Worked it's magic - Zoe hit the ball on the first try. So fast we didn't get a photo.

Batter Up!
Roman!

Bam! Same thing - on the first try. And Dad captured it!
Tongue firmly in the thinking position.

Pleased.

A good time :)
