Mother's Day Pre-K Cookbook (times 2!)

First, Roman's.
Each child told about their mom's favorite food and how she makes it.
I was getting nervous as I read thru. This momma has gotten to the point where making a meal is a massive, painful chore. We obviously eat, but making something from scratch...hmm. Maybe.

She likes rice with soy sauce all over it and I don't remember everything in it. there's carrots in it too and I think there's green beans. I don't know if she makes it sometimes or not - she doesn't make it she just gets it from restaurants.

Ding!

And Zoe.

My Mom likes to eat beef. She buys some beef from the store and then she cooks it in the oven and then she eats it. She puts it on a plate before she eats it and she gets a fork before she eats it. And she also likes to eat noodles.

Your Dad reminded me that the week before Zoe asked, out of the blue, "Mom do you like beef?"
Funny, since about a year ago I figured out that I could probably eat a lot less meat and not even miss it. I was waiting for an entry on tofu, since a common conversation in our house is "what is tofu?" Answer: "Bean Curd." Question again: 'What is Bean Curd" Answer: "tofu" and so it goes.

Beef.
My mom likes to eat beef.
I do enjoy a good steak (but I never cook one at home).

Mother's day dinner, as selected by your Dad: Beef Chow Mein with Cantonese noodles (take out!)
My kind of cooking :)
