Who loves ya, baby?

Donut at Large

Artist's rendering.
One morning little Miss woke up and told me about a terrible dream she'd had. A donut was chasing her and trying to eat her. She drew me a picture."It looked exactly like that, it even looked like it was drawn with pencil."

She liked her flowers

Reading

is an important skill

And a way to push bed time way the heck out.
Roman now has his own room and start sleeping there, but it has morphed back to night time in the same room. For now.

Loves her some sloth...

Deck.

Some people sit nicely.

Others, like to hang out (and get scolded and sprayed with a squirt bottle).

Cub Scout news

Our Tiger is now a Wolf!

From a walk at William O'Brien State Park. A fuzzy wuzzy! Corrected: wooly bear.
BTW, Zoe commented that his hair looks funny (he's since had it cut much shorter!).

Twins!

Last fall Zoe was SO BUMMED we were out of town for the elementary school's night at the ballpark, so when discount tickets came up for a game this spring, we had to go. Well we didn't HAVE to go, but it had been awhile since we'd been there.  R & Z don't remember their first (and last) Dome game. Plus this stadium is super cool and has a lot of nice spots for photos.
Kirby Puckett, above.
Can't help but call him Turkey Bucket in memory of David Letterman's Top 10 list.

Sit nice with your father...

Mickey!

Since the school had a block of tickets, we were sitting by some people we, or the kids, knew. Zoe got to sit next to her good buddy Georgia.  Miss Georgia had made her own pennant with a stick and bequeathed it to Zoe upon her early departure. We didn't last to the end of the game either, but were there a bit later. Consensus is Mike won't be heading back any time soon....But we will try a minor league Saints game at the end of the summer.

a Saturday with Audrey

Uncle Andy brought cousin Audrey out a few weekends ago to play.
Yay!
Such a little dear!

She had fun with her cousins.

And enjoyed the Linus statue in the community center. We spent a little time in the library too. Makes me want to give her a squeeze right now!

ZOO

With Grandma Candy, back in March.

At the beginning of the trail...we just HAVE to stop for a photo!

(interactions change)

The sting rays, leopard sharks and lemon sharks were popular this time. Roman 'pet' them a bunch of times. It was hard to pull  him away!

Roman

When I went to a park at Chicago my Dad bashed into a pole with a flag on it. it was funny.

Said author (with casts on both feet - helping the toe walking) with his sister.

Dance! 2016

I broke down and bought the cd of the dance photos this year. Last year I didn't and the prints turned out great, so I thought I better.

Only this year, some little 7 year old girl yelled at me....because she had to do a bunch of poses that no one else had to do (no one else in her class bought the disc!)

I think it's worth it:)
This year it was a choice between dance and girl scouts due to a schedule conflict. She SO wants to do both...so we're going to make it work somehow next year.

Spring Recital.
She's come a long way. I think she's a natural! Such long, lean limbs!!

With Miss Audrey

 Proud Dad and Mom.

And the family who came out to support her. Uncle Andy, Aunt Laura, Audrey, Grandma B, cowering Roman, and Grandma Candy.

Exhibit C

And on dad's monitor this morning...
Last night we talked about fish and the concept or earning them via specific chores or behaviors. She wants the chart ready so she can start earning points!

She was dressed, had her laundry in laundry basket, her hair and teeth brushed and proclaimed she'd make my bed before I left this morning. Not typical. And dad was still IN the bed, so that plan was foiled. #determination.

Exhibit B

Left on dad's phone this morning.

Exhibit A

Left on my pillow

It felt like the olden days

Getting out of the house....
Making a craft....
Tissue paper fish windsocks.

Seems like since we moved I don't have the drive to leave the house.
And/or someones are more vocal about their opinion of what to do.
Although as it's now spring break some of us are getting a bit cabin fever-y. I add that phrase to Zoe's vocabulary this past weekend when we went for a short walk JUST TO GET OUT OF THE HOUSE!

Glasses?

Yes!
But not for reals. Not yet.
Mom just got some new reading glasses.
A replacement to the dollar store half size, to which Dad said "thank God".
