Happy Halloween!

From Mr. Hotwheels Driver and Frankie Stein from Monster High.

You guys got dressed up for a Halloween Party at the Community Center this past Saturday.

Games.

Prizes. Candy. Oh boy, it's SO EXCITING.

And then a visit to the other side of town...

To Jannie and Gordon's house.

A favorite haunt around Halloween.

Entertainment by Jannie.

Kisses from Matisse (it used to be Roman that got the attention, this year it was Zoe!)

Quite the place to be :)

And one of my favorite spots to take a picture on Halloween, maybe because we took one of my favorite Halloween picture here when you were just over 1 year old.

Matisse wanted a solo portrait.
Okay, you got it!

So. Much. Fall.

And I was feeling like we kind of missed it all.

Looking at our photos at the Landscape Arboretum makes me think we got it all in that day.

Love that place.

LOVE that place.

Can you tell?

Good Night

Arrived in the mail (okay, UPS) from Grandpa Mike

A favorite from the get-go!

So proud

Every week Zoe is sent home with a book that we are to read to her several times. Then, she records something in her journal about the book. Whatever she wants. Since she's now interested in drawing, we focus on that and add some words to help explain it a bit.
A few weeks ago we had Knuffle Bunny: A Cautionary Tale by Mo Willems. Love the illustrations on his books, we've had others from the library.
Zoe's journal entry:

I love that she picked this page to re-create.

(Blame Mike for this caption)

Zoe got a new shell-phone.

Sometimes it goes like this.

Then they were 5

Time to 'jump the shark'

Daddy went all out with games. Bean Bag Toss

Fishing pond

Sponge Bob bowling

Perhaps the last hurrah for the preschool size bouncy house.

A little paper hat making.
Too bad our social skills are so lacking. Thank God Izzie and Illie showed up.

And later Mike, Katrina (and Shawn).

Which means Zoe got to model her new leather coat, purse and boots while sitting on a motorcycle.

We had the rest of the family over and celebrated.
I was pictured out, until the next day, when we went to Como Town.
Yee haw.

Glitter tattoos.

Driving!

I don't know how these kids figure it out so fast, but they do.

She's a friendly driver.

Very friendly.

It's catchy.
Wave everyone!

Much need quiet flower time.

And a visit to the refurbished Japanese Gardens. Last time Roman, Zoe and I were here there was snow on the ground. It was probably late April or May (ca-razzy).

But now Dad got to check it out with you.
We like rock.

So this is a good place.

And friendly mom passers-by offer to take a family picture.
hurrah.
