..And thru the woods...

...to the outskirts of town, San Pablo del Norte, actually. That is if we were in the the Southwest, which we are not. It certainly sounds more exotic than the
English version.
We made a stop at Jannie and Gordon's house. Everytime I head that way I have memories of driving there when I was a little girl. Although they've changed the freeway exit and the little park that had WW1 (??) era cannons is gone! I'm sure moved somewhere else. Down the road and past St Peter's (hey- Grandpa went to school there!). Up to the lake. Turn at the beach/playground. The big, tall spiraling slide is still there. Someday we'll visit. I remember going there with my Grandma B. Down the street to Jannie and Gordon's (once your Great Grandparent's house and where Grandpa Jon grew up). Lots of good memories there. Playing in the yard. Riding your Great Grandpa's riding lawn mower. That was FUN. And that's just the one way in. The other way is full of memories too.

But back to the present day!
We spent some time inside, until the wiggles came into play. Jannie and Gordon have two standard poodles - Matisse and Shaka. Matisse was checking you two out.

We went outside and plopped you down in front of some of the decorations. It was a cold day, so we picked just one spot (although there were plenty of fine photo-friendly backdrops!). You kept your shoes on. Woo hoo.

And Gordon came out and started talking to you. That got us some good shots - you like his deep voice. As evidenced by my favorite shot- the one posted on Halloween. Smiles and all that.

Jannie sat down with us, and Matisse decided to get in the picture too. Take note of Roman- tongue wagging to match the dog. Wait, the dog's tongue isn't wagging.

Oh my. Matisse gave Roman a kiss, and Roman, well Roman still had the tongue wagging.

Tigger, oh Tigger. What are we going to do with you?

Zoe let the dog be. But she took a tug at Jannie. Must grab.

And Matisse...Matisse came back for more. As we headed to the car there was more of this between these two. Roman giggling like crazy.
