Disney Princess, Schmisney Princess

Although we've totally bought into the marketing traps for kids our age, it doesn't mean I don't think about the ramifications sometimes.  But then I see hope. I see this.

The land of pretend.  Suddenly a washcloth and an inexpensive (Dollar Tree?) doll are just as playworthy. Quite often Zoe wants to give one of her dolls a bath and after that bath the doll MUST be wrapped up (in JUST the right way, or tantrum city).  This night she had Tinkerbell in her bed, laying next to her, ready for storytime. Waiting for Curious George, mama....
