Plant a seed (or a bean)

(pose in front of the tree so we can say "Look how small that tree was! Look how small YOU were!"

On Wednesday I told you guys that if you planted a jelly bean (or 10) in the garden they would produce lollipops.  Roman wasn't going for it. That the lollipops would grow? Nope, didn't dispute that, but there was a long "discussion" between the two of you about the proper planting method. Zo said they had to go IN the ground and Ro disagreed. He was more for the scattering method.  Lots of discussion and something about animals eating them all gone. I had to settle the matter by explaining they could each go about their own methods.

Off we went. Despite disagreeing with Zo's method, Roman was more than happy to help dig.

I let you pick the spot. Next to the blueberry bush seemed like a good idea.

Zoe put in 3 or 4 beans.  Roman refused. We found another spot for Zoe to plan the rest. Roman refused. So I suggested Daddy help him when he got home later that afternoon. "Go put your container on the table". He did.

Then we found a worm.

I told you that you used to like to hold the when you were even littler.

Then I took out the bouncy house.

You bounced.
And then I looked in Roman's jellybean dish. No jellybeans. You ate them all gone! Little bugger.

Early childhood education in a practical sense. Zoe learned to negotiate, plan and execute. Roman learned not to be scammed out of his jelly beans. Funny.
Wonder what will suddenly grow by Easter morning from those jelly beans. Next lesson: sharing the produce even if your twin ate his "seed" and didn't get a crop.
