Thanksgiving week was a fun one. Nice weather = putting up Xmas decorations for the kids, Mommy was off for the week, and Daddy finally got some employment setting holiday decor for some of the local casinos. Tables were turned for the kiddies, "Wait a second, Mom's home and Dad's gone?" Made for some interesting behaviors, on everybody's part. And to top it all off, Roman and Zoe had not been to daycare for over a week. Withdrawls, me thinks. So last Tuesday, was the first day back to daycare and Daddy got the kiddies dressed and went out to start the car and came back in to hear Zoe exclamating "Bye, bye, bye, bye, bye, ..." But Daddy could not see her. The door was slightly closed to the playroom and I peeked in... to find Zoe tugging at her coat on her new hook and couldnt get the hoodie off the hook. But she was ready to go see her friends at daycare!
First time ever she was ready to put the coat on without a fight, well I should say first time she fought to GET IN THE COAT! Oh man, they are getting big and growing up fast! They are so interactive with eachother now, so talkative, and night and day personalities but yet so similar.
And do they ever look forward to daycare, to watch Roman and Zoe play with the other kids and laugh a squeal in delight, and run laps around the dining room table, interacting with all their friends, watching and learning. Thanksgiving has come and gone, but I wish to give thanks to our daycare! Thanks for the love and wonderful environment in which our children flourish! When Roman and Zoe were born, we were trepadatious about leaving our children with any "daycare", being premies and our first children. But watching them grow and seeing them interact, we see that daycare is a form of Pre-Preschool, giving Roman and Zoe a heads-up on social dynamics. I used to and still kind of feel guilty bringing them to daycare if I am not working, but after last Tuesday, you realize what Roman and Zoe would miss out on, if I didn't.
At any rate I would just like to say thanks to Katie, Shawn and Mike for all that they brought to our lives!
