This aint your father's Oldsmobile...

Well summer is here!? In streaks, hot, then cold, then hot, then cold and rainy. Roman and Zoe had their first corn on the cob last week. Thanks Shawn! She gave the kids corn to take home for us to cook and feed them for dinner. Zoe didn't want to wait. Shawn had asked if it was ok to give Zoe her ear to hold on the ride home. I said sure, but Zoe would probably have it shucked and eaten by the time we got home. Sure enough, by the time Roman was buckled in, Zoe had half the corn shucked and was trying to eat it. So Shawn peeled the rest of the corn and gave it to Zoe. CHOMP!!! She dug right in... by the way, Zoe had it finished by the time we got home!

So I titled this post as such, because all this happened in my car. Were it my father's car we would all have been mamed. Shawn had even said that you have such a good daddy to let you eat such things in the car, and that she wouldnt have allowed it in hers. Oh well. Its only a car. The memory of you diggin into that first bite is well worth more than the cost of a car interior. Maybe I should have titled this post: "This aint MY fathers Oldsmobile!"

Was the corn cooked or raw? They seemed to enjoy it!
