Christmas Eve, some more

Miss Zoe with her Dad.

Zoe loves her dad, and her dad loves her

Dad, blankie and thumb. What more could she want?!

Presents?! Yes, presents are good

Two sleds from Uncle Dave?
AWE-some.
And both are all set to go for a ride, even if it is backwards. This fits with Zoe's normal practice of sitting in anything that looks like a container (drawers, laundry baskets...)

Paper to eat? No, Zo!

Zoe checks herself out in the mirror/silver platter, while Roman attempts to start opening a gift. Mirror, Mirror on the wall?

Hi! Actually Hi Daddy! I was all excited that Zoe started to say "Hi Daddy" lately. I kept telling her to say it when daddy pulled up in the driveway or walked in the door. She did, she does. But she says "hi da-ey" to everyone. Oh well. It's still cute.

As Zoe and Roman age the time it takes to open presents is going to change exponentially. This year it was a slow, drawn out process. I like that. So I enjoyed it while it lasted!

Back in the sled, and back to eating paper (Zoe only, Roman doesn't do this).

The crew at Christmas Eve

Kai was a German exchange student who stayed with Andy and your grandparents a few years ago. He was studying abroad (in the US!) this fall and drove out to MN with his girlfriend to celebrate Christmas. Very good-natured fellow

Onward to the home celebration and all the rest of the presents!
