What a cool place.

Dodge Nature Center in West St. Paul.

Walkways through the marshes.

Things to point at. Perhaps a bird?

And a barn! A Barn! You two were anxious to see animals after finding out we couldn't go in the barn at Gale Woods. Well we couldn't go in this barn either, but we DID find some entertainment.

As we rounded our way around the barn I saw a little girl and her mom carrying tires up the hill. Hmm. Pretty soon the little girl asked if we wanted to join them. Well sure.  Apparently she had come over here with her class (a school was just across the street from the park). Part of their activities including rolling tires down the hill. Fun? Why yes, yes it was. And she wanted to spread the joy.

So here we were.

You  both liked it, but I might give the extra "like" to Ro. whee!

Another class, preschool or otherwise was making it's way behind us. They all had to stop at the big tractor tire. So once they had parted, you did too.

S.W.A.K.

Girl germs! Boy germs!

And right next to us was a pasture. A cow (yes, I said moo). And Roman pointed out the donkey as it made it's way to the gate. You guys pointed out that the "cowboy" who was getting the animals back in the barn for the day. Yeah, I think he earned that title, even if he's only a 2 minute drive from a less than rural part of Robert Street.

Not sure what was loud at this point. Like Mom saying "Moo".

Ah, and you can just see the "green bath". I think I was asking you if you'd like to swim in that water (not me!) and that is the name you gave it.

Good Times, and activities for the young ones. And some birds of prey available for up close viewing. Your Dad will love this place. :)

Love the pic with Roman rolling the tire, like a of a pic right out of the Great Depression where thats the only toy a kid could afford, a worn out tire.
