Phase 2: The Hunt

Apparently our Easter Egg Hunt started off with a nice sit down strategy session first. Zoe had no one helping out, but hey, whatta ya gonna do?

The Easter bunny left a bunch of eggs for you guys in the back yard. We were lucky enough to see him scampering away in the morning. Really, we did.

It's funny how your cleanliness standards can take a dive. When we first got you home from the hospital 19 months ago or so if the pacifier hit the ground (at all) we took it away and washed it in soapy warm water. Then in got to be just rinsing it with water. Then brushing it off with our hands. Then a quick peek to see if anything major was hanging off it. So the fact that you're eating Lucky Charms off the ground isn't exactly bothering us anymore. No, that's not a good thing, but apparently we have photographic proof that it's true...

After cleaning up the yard a few days before and finding "remnants" from the family of rabbits that live in and around our yard I thought maybe a more appropriate filler for the eggs would be Cocoa Puffs. Little pellets of chocolately goodness. Ewww.

Collecting those eggs...

This actually took longer than I thought it would.

Largely because 18 month olds get a little distracted.

They aren't out to really complete the task, just to meander around and see what's going on in this big, big world.

Daddy thought maybe we were teaching you the wrong thing - putting all your eggs in one basket.

But you did take turns. That was a nice change of pace.

Zoe even entertained us with her bird impression.

Or "the Chicken walk" (thanks Wiggles).

Roman did his best Saturday Night Fever pose.
We have no idea where this came from, but I've got about 6 pictures of him standing there like this.

See? Dance Fever.....
