Dinner in Madison

At a new place suggested by the children's librarian who made the Chicago-Twin Cities trip often during college.

Wowser.

So much to look at and even some stuff to touch...

Mighty Mouse flying overhead (and Dumbo and too many others to numerous to mention)

 Delightful.

And old-worldy. It ain't Applebees.
These places are few and far between, at least at home.

And my, oh my, I haven't seen an ice cream/dessert menu like that in years. 3 pages of banana splits!

We opted for the turtle sundae.

Help yourself kiddos.

And what was just outside the restaurant? A carousel. Despite initial indications that the Camel was the ride of choice, we ended up on the 'Dragon'.

And had fun.
